The Russian Aurus brand has presented a serial version of Komendant crossover, which has been under testing since 2019. The pilot batch will be assembled this year, but only the models of 2023 year will go on sale. The starting price has been already known – it will amount to 33.7 million rubles, which is 3 million less than the cost of Aurus Senat sedan.
In technical terms, Komendant and Senat are almost identical: they share a common modular EMP platform and a power plant consisting of 4.4-liter V8 engine capacity of 598 HP and 9-speed KATE automatic gear box with a built-in 63-HP electric motor. Both cars have all-wheel drive, but the crossover, unlike the sedan, is equipped with an air suspension that changes stiffness depending on the selected driving mode.
