05.07.2022 / Foreign vehicles account for three quarters of all vehicles produced

According to the data of NAPI (National Industrial Information Agency), over 5 months of 2022, production decreased in all segments except trucks of Russian brands.

The Russian truck production grew by 0.1% on January-May 2021, which allowed to increase the share of Russian vehicles in the truck production structure to 87.2%. In the car segment, the production of Russian vehicles decreased by 64.7%, while that of foreign vehicles – by 51.8%, due to which the share of foreign cars was up to 75.7%.

In the segment of light commercial vehicles, the production of foreign vehicles fell by 53%, that of Russian vehicles – by 15.7%. As a result, the share of Russian light commercial vehicles reached 80.5%. As for the bus production, foreign vehicles are not produced in Russia, the bus production decreased by 7.4%.
